Panasonic AG-ES10 (1988)

The Panasonic AG-ES10. Panasonic's first marketed still video camera. Introduced in December 1988. It featured infrared autofocus, programmable auto-exposure, built-in flash unit, field- and frame recording and Hi Band mode. An incredible 15 frames per second was also possible. Panasonic also introduced a heavyweight video floppy player AG-ES100 ($900) and a thermal transfer-type printer AG-EP70 ($2,000) to go along with the camera. Fairly cheap in comparison to other still video systems. The camera was jointly developed between Canon and Panasonic.
